Mauritius Ministry of ICT

MauPass Corporate

The Mauritius Ministry of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation (MITCI) is the central authority responsible for driving the country’s digital transformation and e-government initiatives. It plays a pivotal role in implementing secure, citizen-centric digital infrastructure that enhances public service delivery and fosters innovation. Through strategic partnerships and national-scale platforms, MITCI aims to position Mauritius as a regional leader in digital governance and inclusive technology adoption.

The MauPass Corporate project was developed as an extension of the National Authentication Framework (NAF), enabling secure digital identity and authentication services for corporate entities and foreign nationals transacting with Mauritian government agencies.

The system provides a seamless single sign-on (SSO) experience across multiple e-government services, eliminating the need for repeated data entry and enhancing user convenience. It includes an identity framework engine that facilitates secure exchange of authentication and authorization data between identity providers and service providers, built on international standards and tailored to the Mauritian context.

The platform supports both local and foreign-registered businesses, enabling them to access services such as licensing, compliance submissions, and digital payments through a unified interface.
