The Children’s Court of Mauritius operates under the judiciary of Mauritius and is dedicated to handling cases involving minors, including protection orders, custody matters, and juvenile offenses.
As part of the government’s broader digital transformation agenda, the court partnered with nVisionIT to modernize its case management and payment systems.
The Case Management System (CMS) and Point of Sale (POS) project was designed to digitize and streamline judicial processes at the Children’s Court. The system enables the generation of legal documents such as summonses, arrest warrants, and protection orders, and integrates with MauPass for secure authentication. It also supports online payments via MauCas and Mastercard and includes a POS module that allows cash officers to scan QR codes and issue receipts through slip printers.
The implementation of the CMS and POS system at the Children’s Court has significantly improved operational efficiency, transparency, and service delivery. By automating document generation and integrating secure payment workflows, the court has reduced manual errors and processing delays.
