The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) is a Chapter 9 constitutional institution established under the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. As the country’s supreme audit institution (SAI), AGSA plays a critical role in strengthening democracy by promoting oversight, accountability, and good governance in the public sector through independent auditing.
AGSA embarked on several initiatives to modernise its operations through digital transformation. On of the key initiatives was to digitise vendor and contracts management to streamline procurement and vendor lifecycle management.
AGSA engaged nVisionIT to enhance the management of contracts by automating the end-to-end process from publishing of the tenders, tender submissions, evaluations, appointments, database of appointed vendors, contracting process and management of the relationship throughout the contract term.

The system has automated the full lifecycle of vendor and contract management, from tender publication and bid submission to evaluation, onboarding, contracting, and ongoing relationship management. This has reduced manual intervention and administrative overhead, and improved turnaround times for procurement cycles.
The system has also enabled consistent application of business rules and compliance checks and enhanced vendor experience and transparency, ultimate improving vendor satisfaction, reducing internal support burdens, empowering leadership with actionable insights and ensuring good governance and transparency through the bid process.
